Texas emergency teams witness aurora borealis in North Carolina amid hurricane relief

Texas emergency responders deployed to North Carolina for hurricane relief efforts were treated to a rare spectacle: the aurora borealis.

The Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) shared on social media that their personnel witnessed the northern lights during their deployment to assist with recovery from Hurricane Helene.

"North Carolina gives our deployed Texans the gift of Aurora Borealis during their deployment to support hurricane relief efforts," TDEM posted on X.
